  • The department of E&TC appreciates   Prasheel V. Suryawanshi for publishing the paper in a high indexed journal Prasheel V. Suryawanshi, Pramod D. Shendge, S. B. Phadke  “A Boundary Layer Sliding Mode Control Design for Chatter Reduction using Uncertainty and disturbance Estimator”, in International    Journal of Dynamics and Control, Springer,  DOI 10.1007/s40435-015-0150-9.

Research funding
We are proud to say that faculties of our department have grabbed funding more than 50L from various funding agencies. Continuing with the tradition, this year also we have applied for different research grants

  1. Bhairavi N. Savant had applied for the Research proposal of amount Rs.2,50,000 under BCUD Pune for the project title “Voltage Sag Analysis and mitigation on Electrical Motors using Embedded Linux Environment”
  2. Bhairavi N. Savant and Prachi R.Rajarapollu had applied for the Minor Research proposal to UGC WRO of amount Rs.4,16,000 for the project title “QT based mobile intelligent Laboratory monitoring system using Embedded Linux”
  3. Prachi R.Rajarapollu and Bhairavi N. Savant had applied for the Research proposal of amount Rs.4,29,000 under BCUD Pune for the project title “A Smart car design for next generation”
  4. Prachi R.Rajarapollu had applied for the Research proposal of amount Rs.2,45,000 under BCUD Pune for the project title “Design and development of automated robotic arm by using (ARM9)microcontroller to pick and place an object".

Other Achievements
Spearheading India’s Participation at the World Skills Competition 2015 in Brazil in the Skill of Mobile Robotics

National Selections 2015 :
Date :16th and 17th Feb. 2015

National level selections for the skill of mobile robotics was jointly organized by National level Skill Development Corporation and MIT Academy of Engineering, Alandi (D) with support of Nex Robotics, Bombay and National Instruments, India to shortlist the candidates to represent India at World skills International 2015, Brazil, Sau Polo. Skill Tested: Navigation, IR Sensors, Design of gripper, Proximity Sensors, programming skills to handle disturbances and operating manipulators. Total 11 teams from different engineering colleges had participated in Competition.

  • Samarth Goudar   from Dept. of Electronics and Telecommunication was shortlisted among them to represent India at World skills International 2015, Brazil, Sau Polo.
  • We are highly proud of our students Annmaria  Wilson and  Rushikesh Pawar  for cracking NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory test and for  being  selected for one week training at  NASA,US
  • In the history of MITAOE, first time a girl candidate Priyanka Srivastava received the student of year award in last academic year, continuing the tradition this year also Annmaria Wilson got student of the year award.
